The Group Direct Material Procurement - Exterior Trim - Black Plastic provides specific Purchasing competence within the area of Exterior Trim at Volvo Car Group.
We are a team consisting of 8 talented purchaser. We have a highly open and energetic work environment where we continuously strive for improvement and welcome all kind of new and creative ideas. We collaborate cross functionally mainly within four different exterior product commodities. The mission is to support our stakeholders like for instance Research and Development by managing sourcing activities, supplier-, market-, spend analysis and contract management. We are now looking at a bright future and we will start working with a new portfolio within black plastics which you will be responsible for.
Main responsibilities
* Have a total cost approach by delivering cost savings, cash flow and added-value improvements
* Anchors and execute Commodity Business Plans, e.g. identifying and leading key programs to achieve cost saving targets and setting supplier base portfolio, based on market and business needs
* Lead commercial and contractual negotiation with suppliers within the area
* Together with Stakeholders prepare and effectuate RFI/RFQ within the area
* Conduct market-, supplier- and spend analysis to be on top of the area and be able to perform strategic sourcing initiatives.
Required qualifications
* University degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant area
* 2-3 years relevant working experience from purchasing
* Negotiation, commercial and contractual track record
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Experience in sourcing
