Pierce is one of Europe's most successful online retailers. We are growing rapidly, and we are currently looking for Category Assistants in Stockholm, Sweden. Would you like to be part of a dynamic Category & Sourcing Team in a company with close to 400 people, that sells across 18 European markets and manages suppliers around the globe, then this could be the role for you.
The purpose of the role:
- Support Category Managers with statistics, analysis, category performance and profitability to deliver on category strategy and plans
- Support Strategic Purchasers with statistics for supplier evaluation and negotiation preparations to deliver on sourcing strategies
Responsibilities of a Category Assistant
You support the category manager in optimizing the assortment based on category strategy and plan as well as product maintenance. You're responsible for providing reports and statistics on supplier and category level to support the category manager in decision making as well as to other internal/ external stakeholders. You will coordinate campaign related information.
You will manage the product lifecycle such as phase in, phase out providing relevant information to internal interfaces for optimized processes and cost efficiency. You will be responsible for dedicated product group(s) with related category tasks.
You're responsible for follow up and review of supplier performance and evaluation including pricing and volumes together with Strategic Purchaser. You will also collect and provide relevant information from supplier to the Product Information team. You're responsible for administrating price files and purchasing price development to internal stakeholders.
You will adapt to new processes and way of working in transitional environment and pro-actively seek information or training to learn as well as participate in dedicated projects.
Professional profile, competence and skills
- Your education level is University degree (Bachelor) in Business Economics/ Logistics and Purchasing or relevant qualified professional education within Purchasing and Supply Management
- You have at least 3 years' experience from category and sourcing functions in e-tail or retail perspective with purchasing and category assistant tasks
- You're highly analytical, result oriented and accountable
- You have a strong customer focused approach with proven analytical mind-set and quantitative skills
- You're self-organizing, very structured and pro-active and can keep focus under pressure to deliver defined targets in time
- Your professional integrity and ethics are strong as well as your negotiation skills towards suppliers
- You're a team player with positive and solution-oriented attitude
- You are highly skilled in MS Office especially in Excel and database analysis
- You're used to a dynamic work environment with flexibility and ability to adapt quickly
- You have a cross cultural sensitivity, understands and can empathize with differences in people and cultures being respectful
- English fluent, speaking as well as in writing
