Position description:
We are looking for an Engine & Transmission Calibration Engineer for vehicle development projects.
• Support the powertrain development organization with theoretical and practical knowledge on engine and transmission calibration.
• Support purchasing and supplier quality in supplier assessments/reviews.
• Be responsible for the calibration performance through the complete product development lifecycle.
• Develops, calibrates and evaluates vehicle level control logic in the areas of emissions, drivability, range efficiency, performance, legal and safety compliance
• Evaluate and explore the feasibility of new proposals, products and possibilities.
• Plan calibration activities together with the Lead Calibration engineer to meet target dates.
• Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products, processes or reduce cost.
• Identify root-causes of identified issues during verification/validation and develop countermeasures as needed.
• Together with the Lead Calibration Engineer, be responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures for the Engine Calibration, which will meet the overall vehicle requirements.
• Work with suppliers and Joint Ventures with calibration performance and education.
Skills and required experience:
• Relevant experience in the work area, preferably in the automotive, minimum 5-7 years
• University engineering education within relevant area or equivalent experience
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of vehicle development processes, both in a Conventional- and an Electrical Vehicle context
• A thorough understanding of powertrain integration.
• Experience from cross functional work teams
• The ability to speak and write in English
• Driver license B
