Do you want to be part of developing and leading us in to the next generation of AWD systems? We are currently looking for a NVH Development Engineer to the Virtual Analysis & Gear Design team.
Role Description
The key responsibility of this role will be simulation, design and development of All Wheel driveline architecture with regard to noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). You will be part of our Virtual Analysis & Gear Design team working closely with the NVH cross-functional team using state-of-the-art simulation and testing tools on both component and driveline system level.
• Benchmarking and performing competitive NVH component and system analysis.
• The focus to follow and ensure NVH robustness of complete drivelines from a design and simulation perspective.
• Method development and contribution to the NVH product development process.
• The team is responsible to systematically separate and balance design parameters regarding durability, NVH and efficiency with this role focusing on NVH.
• Proactively drive and train for NVH CAE supported CAD
• Continuously carry back testing and validation results and drive for efficient and good correlation between virtual and test results.
• Participate in customer meetings and write detailed technical reports and create/make technical presentations.
• Assist production facilities with troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
• Good understanding of NVH analysis techniques as well as experience using NVH troubleshooting tools to identify problems and resolve issues.
• Desirable knowledge of geared system (gears and bearings) products.
• Competence using various FEM or design oriented related software?s, like MSC Nastran, MARC, HyperMesh, SimLab and RomaxDesigner.
• Experience with NVH analysis tools such as LMS Test.Lab and HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS are positive.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in the automotive industry.
• Preferable knowledge in vehicle dynamics.
• Driven, flexibleness and prestige less attitude with strong planning, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
