CAD-designer for Sealings in Closure section
The section Closures belongs to Painted Body & Closures department and consists of 4 groups, Door mechanics, Door structure, Sealing and Rear opening system.
Door Mechanics is responsible for the window regulator, latch and door handle, Door structure for the door structure and the Rear system for the rear structure, latch and handle. The Sealing team is responsible for the door seals on the body, on the door and around the moving glass.
Sealing are components designed to give a water & noise tight cabin mainly in form of extruded and molded EPDM and TPV/PP profiles. The sealing are critical components for NVH, Water & Dirt management and also play an important role in the balance between tightness and door closing comfort.
This group also includes bright trims on door frames and belt as they are closely linked to the sealing system, and in most cases delivered to VCC as an assembly. The bright trims are critical in giving an luxury impression for the customer. The commodity also include sealing profiles for tailgate / trunk lid and front luggage, which main function is to secure a water tight storage compartment. We are in contact with several suppliers with global footprint.
As a CAD-designer you will be responsible for development of the seals in the early phases of product development. You will need to collaborate with suppliers, design leaders, technical and verification responsibles. Working with seal means that you establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all connected areas as well as building an understanding of the designs within those areas. In this position you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D as well as in procurements and manufacturing organization. You have possibility to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of leadership. As a part of our team, you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction.
You are responsible for design solutions for vehicles and our customers. The responsibility is to support contact with the supplier and secure the quality of the part. All issues need to be solved and the solution need to be implemented in the part. Main responsibilities are to secure the project design delivery within time, cost and technical frames.

Required qualifications
* At least B.Sc. degree within Mechanical engineering or equivalent with relevant experience
* Strong leadership skills and experience with leading suppliers
* Analytical ability and technical interests
* Earlier experience of working seal components are meritorious
* Documented experience from assignment leadership in the automotive industry is a merit
* Experienced Engineer within product development
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver 's license "B"
