hela Sverige As Buyer/Senior Buyer you belong to a category cluster team consisting of a transactional buyer, buyer/senior buyer and a category manager that also act as the Team leader. The Team is responsible for delivering world class operative as well as strategic purchasing services to HVDC customer projects and R&D projects within its category cluster scope.
As Buyer/Senior Buyer you will follow already approved category strategies by sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiate supplier contracts, monitor, follow up and developing existing suppliers and secure that the products or services that you procure have the right quality and are delivered on time at optimal total cost level.
As a Buyer, you are responsible for a more local/regional supplier market and a smaller spend scope and as a Senior Buyer the spend scope is larger on a more regional/global supplier market.
You as a Buyer are most likely in the beginning of your purchasing career. You are genuine interested in technical components and systems. You are a proactive communicator and are fluent in English and preferably have an academic degree in business, finance or engineering.
If your background and experience is a better fit as a Senior Buyer, you fulfill above, but also have been working in purchasing (or engineering close to suppliers) for +10 years in an engineering/project company and preferably have an experience in above stated purchasing categories.
You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. The Global Supply Chain Management organization at ABB HVDC is strengthening its ability to perform professional and competitive value add services within purchasing and logistics by investing in new roles and a new focused knowledge based working structure. Therefore we are looking for Supply Chain professionals for new management- and development roles as well as replacements for existing vacancies.
