Business Unit Head Specialty

As the Business Unit Head for Specialty you will be a valued member of the Swedish Leadership team. You will be responsible for maximizing our entire Specialty performance (Severe Asthma, Lupus, Nephrology), which is a main pillar of our business and a major part of the organization within GSK Sweden. As a senior leader, you will align and deliver GSK's Specialty business sales in the Swedish market, as well as providing engaging leadership to enhance the performance and development of the team.

In this role you will...

• Set and communicate a clear Specialty vision and ambition with key focus on Asthma, Nephrology and Lupus, aligned to the global strategy and embed this into an annual business plan
• Prepare and execute the launch strategy for our Nephrology medicine
Act as leader of the business unit:
• Set and communicate clear goals, aligned to global strategy, leading to ambitious market shares and financial performance
• Be responsible for great cross functional cooperation, (account) planning and execution with market access and medical teams
• Be responsible for the overall Launch readiness of new products or indications
• Monitor competitive environment and ensure business plans are competitive in terms of tactics and investment, including accelerating multi-channel marketing
• Provide regular performance feedback to GM for regional performance sessions
• Ensure all materials, activities & events organized / participated to, comply to the GSK Code of Conduct and LIF rules for pharmaceutical promotion
• Lead cross-functional planning and execute for pricing/rebate strategies of GM brands
Provide inspiring leadership for your team (KAM's, Sales Representatives and Brand/Business Managers):
• Drive a culture of "growth mindset" where the team feels engaged to improve and develop
• Lead leaders: ensure your leadership drives the right behaviour in your organisation
• Support team members' development and grow organizational talent by frequent development conversations and feedback
• Live and expect compliance with the GSK Values and Expectations and Anti Bribery and Corruption
• As member of Leadership Team, contribute to strengthening overall performance, GSK culture and drive continuous improvement in the organization
• Contribute to the development and implementation of market access strategy and plan
• As member of the Risk Management and Compliance Board, ensure a healthy risk profile for our external operations and play an active part in our Internal Control Framework through Management Monitoring activities
• Live and expect compliance to the new GSK Culture and Anti Bribery and Corruption
• Spend sufficient time externally to coach front line people and their coaches and meet Top EEs
• Enable the team members to develop in their role by frequent development conversations.
• Maintaining a healthy successor pipeline, by development of organizational talent by actively developing the individuals and mentoring them in preparation for key roles
Why you?
Qualifications & Skills:

• Master's degree in relevant subject
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in commercial roles
• Located in Sweden
• Fluent in English, speaking and writing
Preferred:

• Fluent Swedish language, speaking and writing
• Strong business acumen and proven track-record in driving performance in marketing and sales, operational excellence in customer communication
• Track record in successful launch experience
• Solid first line sales coaching experience and/or Product Manager experience
• Engaging and empowering leadership style with well-developed relationship building skills to build trust and credibility and establish networks across geographies, therapy areas and other functions
• Ability to influence both externally and internally
• Team leadership experience and ability to develop people, Coaching skills & experience
• Creative approach to problem solving and the ability to challenge the status quo
