hela Sverige As responsible for Business Office, focus will be to develop, drive, implement and facilitate growth opportunities within "Special Products & Accessories" in collaboration with other functions in the unit (PPL/PM, R&D/Manufacturing, MSS etc).
In addition, lead and commercialize identified opportunities, such as armored cars (based on XC90/S90L), by setting up and managing strategic relationships and alliances with partners and third-party companies (e.g. Sales companies, Dealers, Nilsson Special Vehicles etc).
Main responsibilities
• In collaboration with relevant functions ((PPL/PM, R&D/Manufacturing, MSS), identify new business opportunities, develop approaches to the market, identify new product prospects, proposal preparation, etc.)
• Drive development of high quality business cases describing the opportunity with business benefits and risks. Agree with relevant stakeholders on the best approach
• Facilitate business growth by working together with clients as well as business partners (sales companies, suppliers, subcontractors, JV partners, technology providers, etc.)
• Build and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective customers and other businesses and project partners
• Drive deployment and marketing activities to ensure sales and profit plans of armored cars. Establish "armored cars "segment in categories B6 and B7 etc
• In addition, handle the product launches, technical training, development of training material and act as commercial lead in new armored car projects
• Establish business models for enhanced product offerings such as connectivity, accessories/components sales, soft offers, electro-mobility solutions, VIP & armored vehicles etc
• Support in the strategic planning process and the development of strategic objectives
• Represent "Special Products & Accessories" in events such as customer visits, exhibitions and internal cross-functional initiatives
• Act as ambassador for "Special Products & Accessories" and develop and promote department in order to make it an attractive workplace of choice
• Act on special requests from top management and assess other business opportunities based on market and customer needs
• Other tasks and responsibilities as needed
Required qualifications
• Experience and understanding of automotive business, retail, marketing and sales from Volvo Cars or elsewhere
• Strong technical & commercial knowledge
• Experience of working in a global environment and established network in the markets
• Ambitious, energetic and communicative leader with analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mind set
• Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively internally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to influence across functional areas
• Strong strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
