The Business IT Manager will act as the primary liaison between IT, the AbbVie commercial business management and the assigned business areas and will provide direct support to the commercial business management and the assigned business areas. The Business IT Manager provides the affiliate a single point of contact for technology topics.

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES

• Develop an understanding of the local business through the creation of a partnership with the affiliate leadership team and the brand teams. He/she will use this understanding to provide innovative and value add IT services

• Work directly with the business customer and apply IT and business knowledge to formulate an IT solution for a business problem. Additionally he/she will lead local development projects and provide assistance to Program or Project Managers on phases of Region or Area-wide projects. He / she maximises impact & usage of platforms/solutions (e.g. CRM, CLM, Analytics, apps, websites) by briefing teams on their value and collecting user feedback

• Act as the key IT representative for affiliate business vision/strategy sessions and will provide affiliate input for area/global IT vision/strategy sessions. This includes:
oUnderstand the local business landscape and dynamics and work with business management to develop IT strategies that support the key business strategies
oInfluence broader AbbVie IT strategies (area, division, corporate)
oEnsure decisions & actions are consistent with the relevant business & IT strategies and the overall strategic framework

MAJOR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Alignment:
oActively lead and facilitate affiliate IT steering committee. Responsible for planning, communicating, coordinating, facilitating prioritization and measuring overall activities and effectiveness of IT.
oAssure financial management and transparency. Responsible for planning & managing affiliate IT budget
oWork with affiliate management to implement effective support structures that maximize end user experience.
oUnderstand business landscape and dynamics, overall IT strategies and work with business management to develop affiliate IT strategy to support key business strategies

• Project management & execution:
oPartner with Customer Excellence and the assigned business areas in the initiation and development of projects to make IT an effective enabler of the AbbVie strategy
oInvestigate alternative solutions which use existing applications and make the appropriate recommendations to the business
oProvide input to business cases to ensure they are prepared oHelp the customers make business savvy decisions regarding risk, costs, measures of success and ROI (return of investment) agreed upon budget
oEnsure a formal framework is in place to review progress with the business management, make decisions and ensure successful project delivery

• Affiliate and Area Business Systems solutions:
oDeliver, maintain and secure a reliable, high performing and cost-effective global technology base
oPursue shared services and cross-divisional partnerships to improve responsiveness and reduce operating cost
oEnsure decisions and actions are consistent with business and IT strategies and are consistent with overall strategic framework

• Compliance & control:
oResponsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and local policies and procedures
oResponsible for compliance with applicable local laws & affiliate standards
oPrimary IT contact for internal audits
oActively measure service through common metrics defined in collaboration with affiliate business management.

Kvalifikationer
• University degree
• Must be fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus
• 5 to 10 year experience in IT functions with proven knowledge of IT project management and business analysis
• Prior experience in a pharma environment
• Experience in analyzing, designing and improving business processes
• Experience in a full software development life cycle
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and highly interactively with all levels of management
• Experience in the implementation of CRM/CLM systems or digital technologies (websites/mobile apps) is a strong plus
• Experience with process improvement methods (e.g. Six Sigma) is a plus
