Skanska IT Nordic (ITN) operates within the Nordic countries, daily serving about 13,000 users with effective IT solutions provided by about 220 ITN colleagues located in Sweden, Norway and Finland. ITN is an integrated IT function within Skanska, co-owning business success, striving to be closely integrated with our business partners and sharing Skanska's overall goals and values. Our main focus is currently directed toward the digital transformation in the industry in order to create better opportunities for easier use of IT-related services within Skanska.
We are now strengthening our Business Analytics team with both senior BI specialists and junior BI developers, to continue our journey to fulfil the strategic target of being the best IT provider in our industry, a challenge in which we invite you to join us.
Role Description
You will be part of the Business Analytics team who is responsible for maintaining and developing Skanska's business analytical solutions. We are currently developing our Business Analytics agenda and evolving from descriptive to advanced analytics (e.g. predictive analytics) in order to expand our solutions to better support projects within Skanska.
You will be part of driving the whole process from understanding the business' requirements to creating complete BI solutions. These responsibilities includes for example to develop reports and dashboards in both maintenance (including second line support) as well as in various projects. You will be working in close collaboration with our business partners within Skanska in order to understand their business needs and proactively suggest areas for improvement and development.
The location for this position will be Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö.
Role profile
We believe that you have previous experience from working with business intelligence and that you have a background within mathematics, statistics and/or data science. You have the ability to work autonomously and take own initiatives while always having the business requirements as the primary focus.
We believe that you are a good communicator who has a genuine interest for new technologies and that you are curious and thrive from learning new things in order to develop within your area of expertise. You enjoy acting as a problem solver and can handle situations where there are many aspects to consider.
As the responsibilities include both front-end and back-end development, it's an advantage to have experience from both. We appreciate experience from working with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Application Express (APEX). Experience from data mining/using statistical software is an advantage (e.g. R, Python, SPSS, Statistica).
Since this is a role where you will collaborate with business partners and consultants in Sweden as well as across the Nordic countries, being proficient in both Swedish and English is essential.
