What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter. We are around 25 designated people marketing and selling Gripen Systems on the world market together with our Market Areas. Our department, Marketing and Sales Support, is organized within the Gripen Product Unit and works closely with personnel from other departments in country teams focused on selling Gripen to new customers.
Your role
As part of the General Marketing team within our department, your main role will be to build and manage a Business Intelligence function for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and structuring information, on both strategic and operational levels, for use in supporting our stakeholders involved in marketing and sales of Gripen all over the world.
Your work will be primarily focused towards the global fighter aircraft market and will include analysis of areas including; competitor aircraft, Air Force requirements, fighter capabilities, competitor companies, as well as the main sectors involved such as the military, defence industry and political establishments. You will be responsible for compiling and analyzing the information as well as forming conclusions and recommendations on both strategic and operational levels. This will be performed on a on-going basis. You will also produce input to our Marketing Plan and work closely with our Product Sales Responsibles to support them globally and in each indivdual prospect country.
You will operate through our internal and external network for Gripen.
Global travel will be an integral part of this job, in particular ensuring that Business Intelligence is gathered and shared with the Market Areas.
You will report to Head of Marketing and Sales Support.
Your skills and experience
We believe that you have a genuine interest in and good knowledge of the military aircraft sector in general and the global fighter market in particular.
You have a background or experience from and a network in one or more of the following areas, Military Aircraft Industry, Media, Military or Politics.
You have documented analytical skills and excellent communication and presentation skills.
You have international and multi-cultural experience and you probably have experience from working in a Sales and Marketing or Media landscape.
You like to work in a complex environment, have a pragmatic view, are delivery focused, and enjoy working hard under intense periods.
You probably have a business or marketing university degree or equivalent.
