Our department plays a big role in Scanias data strategy to deliver top analytical solutions. Our purpose is provide the latest technology, tools and expertise within data, that the business needs to plan, follow up and improve its daily and long term operations in an effective and efficient way. We work in Teams and Squads close with business to be Business & It as One.
The role
As an BI architect your main responsible is the End to End flow from source to report. This includes technology but also way of working in this flow. You would also be part of shaping our Data landscape in general, and Scania's transition into a Data Mesh in particular. To succeed, collaboration and communication is key. You would cooperate closely with our two main stakeholders; our developers and our users, but also with a wider architect community. You are expected to be able to communicate on virtually all levels of the company, from C-level management to juniors. Furthermore, understanding Scania's overall strategy and translate that to BI strategy with a holistic long term perspective would be key.
You use your curiosity and open mind to find new trends - regarding data architecture, technology as well as way of working - and bring that knowledge into our global organisation to further develop our abilities utilize the power of software and data. As an architect, you are expected to drive change within your area and proactively initiate actions needed.
Who are you
You have
• Solid experience in architectural work within global organisations
• A degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in translating complicated technical discussions to business language and vice versa
We don't expect you to have all the following requirements, but it's a big plus if you have:
• 10+ years of experience working as BI Architect
• 5+ years of experience with deep understanding of Data Warehousing, known Data Warehousing patterns, Analytics and Business Intelligence
• 3+ years of experience working with reporting tool PowerBI (both on-premise and cloud) and also SSAS and SSRS
• 2+ years of experience with cloud architecture design for end to end BI use cases
• AWS knowledge
• Knowledge of DevOps and designing CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Data mesh concepts
