As part of our Global Medicines Development (GMD) organization, Biometrics & Information Sciences (B&I) is the home of statistical, programming and information experts for late stage drug development.

Within B&I, the Clinical Information Sharing Project Office Manager will drive the initiation of the Clinical Information Sharing Process with particular emphasis on leading the due diligence steps to ensure the process is performed in line with business metrics and in line with AstraZeneca, Information Management (IM) and Information Sharing principles, policies and standards. The role will manage the portfolio of internal and external information sharing requests and ensure all requests are progressed in line with performance metrics, meeting or exceeding customer needs. The role will drive the development, oversight and improvement to those processes to make availalable clinical data for re-use. Particular emphasis will be on increasing efficiency for Informed Consent retrieval and review.



Typical Accountabilities



The role holder will deliver tangible value to the Clinical Information Sharing domain at AZ through:

* Deliver experienced input on requirements from an Information Practice perspective on questions arising from programming as part of de-identification work?
* Define needs and establish systems to support request for access to AZ clinical study data e.g. efficient risk assessment processes
* Development and oversight of processes related to making clinical data available for re-use
* Project management of initiatives to speed up processes for availability of clinical data for re-use such as informed consent retrieval and review
* Define and implement good practice through training and guidance to increase efficiencies for data availability
* Determine needs for system and services to support work Information Advocates do as part of data availability in clinical information sharing
* Lead prioritised strategic projects/initiatives within the space of clinical information sharing, as agreed with leadership.
* Provide insights on internal business needs, and help to drive change management initiatives in the business
* Ensuring clinical data is shared and re-used in line with AstraZeneca, regulatory and legal Information Sharing principles, policies and standards, throughout the sharing request lifecycle.
* Manages information sharing governance processes to ensure compliance and high standards of data/information quality within AZ.
* Reports to management (Director, Clinical Information Sharing) on performance of governance processes to drive performance improvements



Education, Qualifications & Experience

* Post-graduate qualification in a scientific, medical, technological or life sciences subject or equivalent (First Degree, professional qualification
* Experience of working with and leading internal global business processes and information/projects
* Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in the clinical information arena and clinical development processes Proven experience of the application of policies, procedures and guidelines within a quality, compliance and legal environment
* Experience of driving change and leading innovative solutions
* A proven track record of delivering business value and awareness of service levels
* Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
* Strong networking and consulting skills with ability to develop links across R&D functions
* Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
