The Business Development Manager (BDM) supports the EMEA Commercial and Management Teams by developing, leading and coordinating activities and projects which promote and support the business of VFS EMEA. The BDM works toward the profitable growth of VFS and ensures that BD activities are delivered in accordance with strategy. The BDM develops and maintains key relationships in the product organizations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development Activities
• Initiates marketing campaigns and coordinates actions across the region
• Designs and implements products and services development
• Manages partner relationships to increase business and identify new business opportunities
• Tracks all business development activities and analyses progress
• Develops improvement plans and suggests new activities based on findings

Commercial Support
• Work closely with all levels of sales teams to design, implement, analyse and deploy new business processes
• Work alongside the Commercial VP to ensure specified territories are managed effectively
• Provides training to sales team on new products and business support processes
• Identifies gaps in sales competences, designs and establishes programs for individual development
• Organizes and actively participates in seminars, commercial and other management meetings
• Manages internal and external sales communications
• Through strong relationships to key accounts and customers, explains product development and provides feedback to VFS management

Other
• Provides insight and analysis into existing and potential customers? requirements and drives initiatives to meet them
• Gathers information from VFS reporting tools and other market intelligence to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
• Builds and maintains productive relationships with colleagues internally in VFS and across all functions

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
• University degree or equivalent is required.
• Typically a minimum of 5 -7 years sales and marketing experience including brand management and business development
• Previous experience in the commercial vehicle or finance industry and experience in project management

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
• Good knowledge of financial services products and services
• Ability to understand the business strategy of VFS EMEA and deliver appropriate supporting activities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and influence at all levels internally and externally
• Key account and communications skills
• Demonstrated analytical and strategic skills including forecasting and planning
• High level of IT application skills
• High level of English (oral/written)
