Wallenius Water is one of the world’s leading environmental technology companies within the field of sustainable water purification. The company has developed a chemical-free method, Wallenius AOT, for water purification. The technology is effective, economic and ecologically sound. The technology imitates nature’s own way of purifying water and is used in a number of areas, from drinking water and water used in cooling towers and greenhouses to water used in different industrial processes and ballast water.
Wallenius Water AB is recruiting a Business Development Manager (BDM) to our Sales organization, reporting to VP, Sales and Marketing.
Purpose
Map, track and develop Wallenius Water’s position in nominated geographical and vertical markets, to identify and win major business opportunities
Supervises
Customer/partner relationships and projects
Responsibility Level
• Full awareness of the strategic selling process structure and the Decision Making Process
• Pilot new business solutions – providing Proof of Concept and Return of Investment
• Identify new markets, applications, product opportunities and major projects in the nominated markets – specify and win orders
• Target and develop major OEM opportunities in the nominated regions/areas
Principal Accountabilities
• Achieve new project and sales targets
• Pipeline
• Provide consistent data on strategic accounts structure and projects
• Optimise order values by selling the highest value solution
• Identify and implement the route to market that would secure the business and maximize revenue
• Work in conjunction with regional partners/customers to provide details of business opportunities and fulfilment channels
• Secure new business opportunities and capitalise on existing relationships by working in close conjunction with other members of the organisation and assigned partners/distributors
Personal Specification
A successful candidate needs to have:
• A Bachelor’s degree or other relevant education
• At least 8 years of export sales experience including the understanding of business environments of various complexities
• An entrepreneurial approach and is a true self-starter
• A successful track record of selling high technological products on a diversified market
The candidate also:
• Enjoys working within a strong sales team environment and has first class communication and influencing skills
• Has a proven experience in working with and engaging partners, distributors and VAR’s, including OEM and B2B
• Has a track record of doing business in the Spanish and Portuguese territory, and ideally also experience from one or more of the following territories: China, Russia, Brazil or India
• Has strong English skills, and a second language will be an advantage
