Do you want to be a part of that journey?
We are looking for a Business Controller to be part of the Business Unit Marine Finance Team, headquartered in Gothenburg. As part of the Finance organization, you act as a business partner to the Sales organization, centrally and locally situated around the world. In this position you are responsible to further develop and roll-out global sales controlling tools and to provide controlling expertise and analysis for the Marine Service Market organization as well as the Executive Management Marine (EMM). You will work with short term operational activities, as well as long term strategic planning together with Global Parts & Services. In this role, you are also responsible to coordinate and drive the finance work with Selling & Admin for the complete BU Marine.
Business Unit Marine is responsible for the full P&L and the transfer of the Balance Sheet responsibility is ongoing. Understanding and providing decision material for long term profitability will therefore be of high priority.
The ideal candidate already has Controlling experience and are ambitious to further develop his/her career within the Volvo Penta organization. We think you have a strong interest in business growth as well as a solid knowledge in handling and analyzing data. To succeed in creating value, you need to constantly secure time and knowledge for analysis that drives the business forward. To reach out to the organization, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Responsibilities
SALES CONTROLLING & BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
As a Business partner you build trust towards the Marine Service Market organization and support with proactive analysis and decision material.
You are the speaking partner when it comes to the Selling & Admin for complete BU Marine.
PLANNING & FORECASTING
You build predictability and quality in our planning and forecasting.
MONTH END CLOSING
You own and secure the quality in processes and analysis related to closing.
Qualifications
• 5 years of relevant experience, ideally as a Business Controller in multinational company
Able to communicate and build trust with Sales organization, internal customers and cross functional teams
True team player
Business Focus
Working with high quality and a structured approach
Self-motivated and result- and performance oriented
Fluency in English, both orally and written, and Swedish
IT literate, excellent MS Excel knowledge, and MS Power BI
SAP R/3 and Essbase knowledge
Familiarity with any ERP system and any integrated business analysis tool is a strong plus (Hyperion, Qlik View)
