With more than 6500 employees and 2000 busses, Keolis Sverige AB (formerly Busslink i Sverige AB) is one of the leading providers of public transportation services in Sweden. The company is part of the Keolis Group, an international provider of public transportation services with rail and bus operations in Europe, North America and Australia.
Keolis Sverige's Finance department is currently recruiting a Business controller, who will take up the business controlling of two to three public transportation contracts in Sweden. The position is based at the company headquarters in Stockholm but involves frequent trips to the Traffic Areas implementing the traffic contracts, which include one or several bus depots.
In a team of six controllers and under the supervision of the Chief controller Business units, the new controller will have the following main tasks:
Main Tasks
• Challenge Business Units management teams and help them to develop and follow efficiency action plans.
• Develop internal control of economic decisions in the Business Unit: work for that closely with procurement department at Keolis Sverige.
• Be responsible for the accuracy of the monthly closings of the books of assigned Traffic Areas, and for the booking of relevant accruals.
• Work with the Traffic Area manager and his team in order to provide a detailed analysis of deviations of traffic revenues and costs compared to budget, as well as of trends of key operational performance indicators.
• Provide reforecasts of the yearly Traffic Area result and build the following year?s budget in the team?s budget model infrastructure.
Qualifications
• A university-level degree either in a business-related field or in an engineering-related field
• Full confidence working with numbers, under Microsoft Excel and with IT tools in general
• Fluency in Swedish and English
• 1-3 years working experience in the field of Business controlling.
The candidate is eager to learn the public transportation business, is able to understand the key aspects of our operations and to link operational facts with economic results. The role also requires advanced analytical and organizational skills in order to create and develop an economic and financial overview and contribute to the general evolution towards Business Control versus Financial Control. As Business controller, the candidate is self-confident and has the right communication and leadership skills which enable him to inform, advise and motivate the management teams of each contract, in close cooperation with the Traffic Area managers, in order for operational and financial targets to be reached.
