It leads to some people being shut out from the job market, and others being hunted down by everyone, regardless of understanding if that particular person is actually suitable for the job or not.
Armed with research, machine learning and a revolutionizing SaaS tool, Alva Labs is disrupting the hiring scene. We are now looking for an outstanding business controller to help Alva grow.
The company
Alva Labs is a Stockholm-based SaaS company that offers a solution that is helping global companies grow their team in a scientific way. Alva has created a unique candidate assessment platform that helps companies build their organizations with the right people in the right place. Combining state-of-the-art psychometrics, data science, and an obsession with candidate experience, it provides the needed tool for data-driven talent acquisition.Our main focus as of now is adapting our offering to larger and more complex organizations. We believe that by serving this segment we maximize our impact on how the market views talent. We are therefore working on large product bets as well as adapting our go-to-market strategies.
Why is this role important to us
With a growing customer base, growing team, fundraising and more, the financial responsibility for Alva is on the rise and it's time to raise the bar on how we manage our finances.
What will you do
• Financial planning & reporting
• Investigate and present variances in budget vs. actuals
• Manage income and cash flow forecasting
• Manage salary & commission models and payouts
• Manage yearly audits for all companies in the group
• Own relationship
• with bookkeeping and accountant agency
• with the bank and auditors
• Own and manage revenue and subscription management
• Own the internal BI-system together with help from engineering making sure data is available, correct, and up to date for everyone in the organization
• Support the leadership team in fundraising and investor relations
• General Business analytics and ad-hoc strategic projects
Who are you
• Organized and diligent, with a very high level of integrity
• Initiative taking (sorry, there will be no clear instructions, you tell us how to run this)
• Strong communicator
• Spreadsheet ninja
• Finance and Accounting background
What have you done before
We don't really care where you went to school or where you have worked before. It would be neat if you have juggled a couple of spreadsheets, worked with accounting and budgeting, and ideally, you have both experience and some sort of education within finance. The most important thing is that you're an ambitious person who is always one step ahead.
Swedish is not a demand for this role, we have English as our internal language anyways.
