Solution Delivery Unit DVP

Solution delivery Unit DVP is a global unit within Volvo providing IT solution supporting all Volvo Group product development globally. The mission of the unit is to ensure that the Volvo Group 's IT solutions and IT projects within the area of product development are managed in an optimal way.

Solution Center CAD/VPDM & VM

The Solution Center CAD/VPDM & VM is a function, within Solution delivery Unit DVP. The Solution Center (SC) has the responsibility to deliver applications used in the Volvo Group for 3D development and virtual product data management and data analysis. The SC covers both unique and shared global solutions. The SC has full responsibility for runtime (cost, quality of service) and for the delivery of projects. The SC is supporting roadmap design and long term planning in its area. It is then responsible to drive deliveries according to the global solutions agenda.

We look for a Business Analyst in Windchill, PDMLink and MPMLink area

We are about to start a journey, shaping Volvo's new way of working within the virtual product development (VPDM) area. We are facing a challenging and exciting period as we are about to enhance the functionality in Windchill, utilizing more of the available out of the box features.
The PDMLink instance serves all downstream systems with the virtual product for analyses or usage in other purposes such as Virtual Manufacturing capabilities.
PDMLink has up to 6000 users in Volvo Group with users globally in 25 sites. We have IT representation in Japan, Bangalore, Lyon, Göteborg and Greensboro.
We are looking for an IT Business Analysts with a passion for business and IT providing support both to the customer and the IT organization with focus on business driven new development and enhancements of IT solutions.

Main responsibilities
• As IT Business Analyst you will be involved in different activities aiming to deliver business value in the form of implemented IT solutions
• In collaboration with the Solution Leader, IT architect and the Delivery Lead guide and lead the VPDM delivery towards the strategic goals
• In collaboration with or on behalf of the Solution Leader help to manage the solutions within the VPDM area.
• Continuously work to improve existing ways of working
• Propose changes that make the software product more efficient and/or reduce operation or maintenance cost
• Support the Solution Leader to manage "key user network" and conduct requirements elicitation
• Take part of designing and implementing solutions according to the business requirements
• Plan and execute business analysis activities in a project or runtime deliveries
• Participate as an IT Business Analyst in business activities
• Participate in development as applicable
• Provide functional application support within the VPDM area
• Support the Solution Leader to secure and maintain complete solution documentation including user manual and training material and execute trainings and workshops together with key users locally and globally

Wanted profile
• You need to have the ability to work under demanding, challenging and changing conditions. As a person you are structured, innovative and have a strong technical focus in combination with a customer oriented attitude
• You enjoy teamwork, contribute with team spirit and you like taking responsibility. You have the ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams

• Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment

Experiences and Competencies
• A university degree in engineering, computer science or similar
• Experience from work as a user in CAD/VPDM
• Deep knowledge in CAD vaulting and CAD data management
• Experience from working in Volvo product development systems and tools e.g. PDMlink, Creo parametric, MPMLink, Catia V5, AVP and KOLA is a merit
• Experience in working in a collaborative environment with different stakeholders, from technicians and users to decision makers
• Good understanding of the connection between user needs and possible IT solutions and experience from creating use cases and acceptance tests
• Experience in agile work
• Fluent in English
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal and external stakeholders
• Experience from method development and delivering trainings is a merit
