This will be us - your new colleagues within Data Analytics & BI Deliveries
Data is a new function within Digital & IT with the goal to unlock the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We will take care of all the aspects of Data, how it is quality assured, documented, made available, prepared, and consumed through BI, Analytics and Machine Learning. We have an ambitious transformation in front of us, with an implementation of the Data Layer in Azure as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group.
In our unit, Business areas Analytics and BI, we focusing on Analytics and Data domain deliveries for the Volvo Construction Equipment's, Volvo Penta, Volvo Financial services, Volvo Energy, Volvo Autonomy and Volvo Buses. we are in the beginning of this journey and are seeking you who like to be a driver for change and transformation, just like us.
This is how you could make an impact
As Business Analyst in Business Intelligence department you will elicit, document, validate, and manage business and system requirements.
You will drive dialogue with various stakeholders to capture underlying business needs and translate them into requirements breakdown and backlog in projects. You will be responsible to deliver formal system requirement specifications, functional and non-functional, and to manage these specifications throughout the life cycle of the application.
You will analyze processes and data structures to validate feasibility of demanded solutions and you will contribute to design of data models as well as reporting solutions. You will advise the business with regards to front-end tools and data visualizations, dashboards, and advanced analytics solutions. You will work in close collaboration with BI Developers, IT Architects as well as End-users. You will provide input to visual design related to end user perspective.
These will be some of your responsibilities
Assist stakeholders build a roadmap of the digital transformation projects, implement valuable pieces of work in a logical sequence, and ensure that they can get value at each implementation.
Work closely with core business representatives, UI/UX experts, Architects to understand expectations and work towards making the transformations as seamless as possible for the business.
Guardian of the value proposition in every aspect of the Agile delivery process.
Promote the use of digital enablers and strategic partnerships to maximize value creation.
Who are you?
We do not know you yet, but some abilities to be successful in this role we are:
You have exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
You are able to clearly present business and technical issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats, by means of storytelling and logical arguments
You are familiar with Analytics Domain,You are curious and analytical - you are able to ask the right questions, identify relevant sources, combine data sets and present conclusions
You are able to work well independently, as a member of a team, and cross-functionally with multiple teams
You have good knowledge of formalized methods for specification (e.g. Use Case Modelling, Data Modelling) and tools (e.g. Power Designer, Enterprise Architect, Visio)
You are experienced with AGILE project methodology and practice
You are able to write SQL queries to analyze data sets
You can facilitate global workshops cross site according to recommended methods
You are able to interact with clients to understand requirements and transform their questions and issues into analytical solution
You are able to facilitate modelling and analysis of business processes and operations from a requirement management perspective or design concepts for a product
You have knowledge about User Experiences Analysis
