Your role will focus on understanding and extracting data from available data sources, including relational databases, redshift clusters and data lakes. Working closely with other Retail teams such as Vendor Management, Instock Management and Product Management teams, you will quickly and discreetly provide data and insights to assist in decision making and actively prepare reporting/slides for WBRs/MBRs/QBRs. Specific duties of this role include: data collection and acting as the subject matter expert on selection/pricing/instock management; validating data to ensure accuracy in the output; identifying key data for projects across a variety of data stores and efficiently extracting and processing it; generating descriptive statistics and extracting insights.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance or related field
4+ years' experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
4+ years' experience developing requirements and creating requirements documents and process flows
Proficiency in SQL and advanced proficiency in Excel (including Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years' experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
Master's Degree or Master's in Business Administration (MBA)
Advance SQL proficiency - experience writing complex SQL statements and ability to manipulate a massive amount of data, creating dashboards/on demand reports
2+ years of experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
2+ years of experience with a modern programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python, etc.)
