Your team
Operations IT is ensures that the Information and Systems needs of the Global Operations functions are delivered appropriately by the Global IS function. The Swedish part of Operations IT works with both Gärtuna and Snäckviken sites in Södertälje, the biggest production site in AstraZeneca, supporting the Sweden Operations customer base of approximately 3500 persons and several critical Information Systems. Your specific team will consist of 10 persons.
Your role
As a Business Analyst, you are responsible of using methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in the relevant area in terms of its functions and processes; the information used and the data on which the information is based.
Your work will be based upon understanding the business needs whilst validating and documenting the business and system requirements, ensuring that the solutions developed satisfy the needs of the business and industry requirements.
Your role is varied and flexible projects, programs, and business as usual such as Change Management and Incident Management will occur alongside with exploring innovations. You will be an important player in our prioritized work to digitize our manufacturing process and make AstraZeneca transition to the new industry standards. You will be working with different innovations and support Sweden Operations in implantation of the same.
Minimum experience
* University degree or equivalent qualifications (Science or IS)
* Strong computer literacy and technical aptitude
* Excellent command of written and spoken English and Swedish
* Good knowledge and/or experience of manufacturing and supply
* Strong customer relationship management skills at all levels
Preferred experience
* Experience with computers application or scientific software
* Experience of working regionally or globally
* Project management experience
* Change management experience
Preferred requirements
* You have a strong ability to work under broad direction.
* Work is often self-initiated and you need to have a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoying being customer facing.
* Keen to understand and consider the user's perspective in IT development.
Job Characteristics
* Define and draft system scope and objectives and translate business requirements into design specifications
* Proactively research products, procedures, and/or workflow needs and identify ways to capture, validate and integrate information to improve overall business process performance.
* Identify and resolve gaps between new and existing business processes and applications and facilitate implementation of new business processes
* Collaborate between the Information and Systems team and the business to agree on user requirement scope and delivery.
* Work collaboratively with:
• Business Relationship Managers to develop relationships with the business, and act as their point of contact for application development.
• Architecture function to ensure appropriate translation of business requirements into technical design.
• Solution development team (internal or external) to effectively transition designs, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and on developing test cases and test scripts to ensure requirements are met.
• Application/Software Developers and/or the Support Organisation, acting as focal point for question resolution.
