Build master
R&D Operations wants to strengthen the team with a second Build Master. The job requires a highly organized person with excellent communication skills. You'll be working with multiple stakeholders in spanning over several projects (in different phases). You should have a sincere interest in automating the build process (including executing the test and release process).
The build process at QlikTech has changed significantly over the years, where each iteration has severely improved the build method and quality. The focus for this year is Continuous Delivery, which will enable a fast and flexible delivery pipeline.
The role
Develop, implement and improve the build platform
Identify, analyze and respond to build related issues
Implement and maintain Build Lifecycle
Troubleshoot system failures and follow up with prioritizations.
Assess, document and improve on build quality, its success rates and performance.
Monitor work load of the platform and proactively work against overloads
Develop, and implement work load measurements for the platform
Enable transparency of information and documentation
Provide technical support on the Build Platform, and document the changes.
Responsible for requests of changes and the actual changes in security coherent to R&D standards.
Develop and implement training needs regarding builds
Enforce push-of-a-button repeatable release processes
Your profile
Scripting experience is required, development experience is a plus
Experience of build tools such as Make or MSBuild is required (where MSBuild experience is considered a plus)
Knowledge about build platform tools such as TFS and/or Bamboo and/or Automated Build Studio experience is highly valued
Experience of modern software development methodologies such as agile is preferred
Strong verbal and written skills, and to have the ability to train people when needed
Teamwork skills and ability to deliever results in a fast paced environment
Structured and organized - ability to prioritize, coordinate resources and organizing
Analytical - analyzes critically and takes systematical and rational decisions upon relevant information.
Service minded - Since R&D Operations is a service organization
Ability to adjust respond to multiple demands (including unanticipated events), and prioritize and communicate accordingly.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden.
