The Bioanalytical Scientist is responsible for delivering quality data in vitro and/or in vivo bioanalytical data (drug and biomarker analysis) to support pharmacokinetic and pharmacodymanic work in small / large molecule projects from target selection to registration.
The data produced are mainly aimed to provide information in the right tissue / right exposure determination.
The laboratory based scientific role includes providing highest quality of data and scientific information aligned with the iMed project needs.
The role require interactive, effective communication to provide clear data and guidance to project representatives, act as an example to other scientists, and to contribute to the scientific strategy of the project.
Major responsibilities
• Expertise in range to technical skills, specifically the use of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques as well as homogenization, and extraction methods and other automated processing and analysis equipment would be advantageous
• Perform problem solving studies by identification of issues and where necessary designing experiments to overcome problems
• Influence study directors to ensure appropriate samples are taken to define the exposure and kinetics of the candidate drug as well as pharmacodynamic parameters
• Plan and report all work to appropriate standards (Good Laboratory Standard, GLS) and keep project teams appraised of findings
• Maintain awareness of relevant areas of research, drug discover/development technologies and regulatory requirements through reading scientific literature and guidelines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Minimum requirements
B.S. or equivalent degree in relevant discipline
Experience in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques for quantification of small molecules
Vem är du?
Mainly you will be working in a lab and will analyze drug concentration in different types of substances, such as plasma or tissues.
The role will also help to analyze markers. You will also do a lot of analysis , using methods that already excists. No method development in this role. The method for analize is primarily liquid and masspektromatri.
You can also analyze the tissue , and work to homogenize and extract from the tissue,
A good background in education is analytical biochemistry , or similar.
It's great if you have experience with analysis . A big plus is if you also have experience in pharmaceutical industry.
It is not reqired to speak Swedish, but english is a must.

This is a consulting assignment, starting with 6 months and a good change for an extension.
