Publiceringsdatum2011-12-15Dina arbetsuppgifterIn the role of a Bioinformatician you will deliver informatics services to projects and be a link between informatics groups and the business delivery unit. Dependent on the current priorities and the skill set of the role holder this may include classical bio-/chemo-/clinical informatics tasks, data integration, -analysis, -viz across internal and external data sources.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We are looking for Senior Scientists with cross disciplinary skills within Bioscience and Informatics.
You have:
• a Life Science background; M.Sc or PhD in Biology, Chemistry or Medicine, or equivalent professional experience in these areas.
• proven professional experience, not older than 1½ years, of basic computational technologies including scripting (e.g. Perl, Python, Knime, Pipeline Pilot etc.), databases (e.g. SQL), viz tools (e.g. Spotfire, Cytoscape), and analysis tools (R, SAS). We are not expecting professional software developer-level skills, but a basic fluency in the technologies above.
• proven knowledge in Bioscience and Informatics, Information management and/or Information Science.
• Flexibility in adjusting to changing environment and project needs.
As a person you should be goal oriented and be able to take own initiatives with a problem solving attitude. It is also important that you have a positive attitude with good social and communication skills.
