a Bassoon player
Retirement time in our Wind Quintet! During 2019, three out of five quintet members
go into retirement, among them our bassoon player. We hence seek his successor.
The employment is indefinite on 100%, with a probation period of 6 months, and
begins in August 2019. The work chores consist mainly of ensemble playing but also
in orchestra.
Auditions will be held at GotlandsMusiken in Visby, Sweden, 08-09 January 2019.
Mandatory pieces:
• W.A. Mozart: Bassoon concerto in Bb major, K. 191, 1st and 2nd movements (with cadenza)
• C. Saint-Saëns: Bassoon sonata, Op. 168, 1st and 2nd movements
Day 1 is dedicated to solo auditions with piano accompaniment. Selected applicants will
day 2 make an ensemble audition (music scores are distributed in advance).
