About the position
The IT Application Management group develops, handles and supports internally designed systems as well as 3rd party systems such as ERP, CMS, integration, R&D-applications, licensing and so on. You would be part of a team of 10 developers working with development and integration of complete business support systems. Ascom mainly uses technology from the Microsoft technology stack.
Your everyday tasks will include everything from gathering and analysing requirements, designing and implementing functionality, answering technical questions from different parts of the business, managing software projects of different sizes, keeping up to date on technology trends and sharing knowledge with your colleagues. This is no news to you as you are most likely an experienced developer.
You will be reporting to the ITAM Manager who is based in Gothenburg.
The technology
You should have experience of working with:
• .NET (C#)
• MS SQL Server
• BizTalk
Tools that you will encounter include the Atlassian-suite (Jira, Confluence, Trello etc)
Experience of (or certificates in) other .NET-based applications such as SharePoint, Dynamics AX or similar systems is considered a plus.
Your background
You are probably an experienced developer with knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem of applications, you enjoy systems development in close collaboration with business stakeholders. You are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, in teams or on your own depending on the size of your current project. You are a strong communicator and good at organising your time.
Experience from global organisations will help you understand the business processes involved, you will also be communicating with people of different nationalities and cultures on a daily basis.
You communicate effortlessly in English. Personal fit for the role is of great importance.
