We are looking for a Automation Lead Engineer to join our team of Discipline Engineers within Technical Development & Engineering. In this role you will support our Project Portfolio and contribute towards our multiple and cross-functional Performance Improvement and Development programme in Stenungsund. You will support our Project Managers, TD engineers and Borealis concern as well as guide and follow up work with our local engineering partners, from pre-studies to execution of both brown field and green field sites.
As an Automation Engineer within TD&E, you will support and guide our EPC(M) Contractors to achieve optimised solutions where you will finally approve the end solution within your area of expertise. You will support the PM to assess and manage Change Control in our projects relating to your discipline considering Safety, Time, Quality and Costs. You will actively participate in meetings with EPCM Contractors, Vendors and other identified Stakeholders. As the business expert you are responsible for Project Quality throughout the Project Lifecycle, from Specifying Borealis, Local & International Regulations and specification to controlling design quality to final sign off after execution.
Contribution
• Responsible for Maintaining, Developing, Communicating applicable Procedures & Instructions.
• Actively stimulate, challenge and support Borealis Contract Partners and Stakeholders to achieve optimised solutions within our studies & projects.
• Define requirements and ensure compliance from Contract Partners.
• Responsible as Customer Representative for Automation related contract works.
• Provide expert advices regarding technical solutions, calculations and engineering activities to Projects and other Departments within Borealis.
• Ensure technical solutions are developed in projects with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership
• Review, approve and challenge technical documents/solutions in all project phases.
• Acts as Technical Network member representing Borealis Stenungsund and share experience within the global network.
About you
You are the right candidate for this position if you have a Master's or Bachelor's degree from acknowledged university, or equivalent, have 5-10 years' Industry experience as an Automation Engineer with a background from EPC, EPCM and Engineering Contracts. We believe you are an active team player who enjoys to contribute to our companies success.
