About you

About the job
As an Automation Engineer with commissioning background you will be working with project engineering, FAT, SAT and technical support and have knowledge and experience with PLC/HMI programming. Your primary task will be:
Handling of several mid- and large size automation projects at the same time in accordance with time schedule and budget established by the main project manager.
Carry out automation engineering which include, specifiying complete control systems for hardware and software, preparing necessary technical documentation, reviewing functional description specification, making O&M manuals and performing FAT/SAT of the control system.
Performing FAT/SAT for the MCC/Control Panels and configuration of motor starters, VFDs and HMI panels.
Making RFQ for software development (PLC and HMI) based on input from Process and Electrical engineers.
Specify all parts of a control system for components, systems and plants
Support sales team during project sales phase.
Ensure cost optimisation in projects by improving design, procurement, etc.
Support start up, commissioning and trouble shooting either remotely or on site
Close cooperation with purchase department to ensure better supply chain.
What you know
You have a background as an electrician, electrical engineer or similar. You have 8-10 years of experience within automation and project engineering in a large industrial organisation.
Good knowledge and experience with Siemens and Rockwell PLC's and SCADA systems. Having experience with DCS systems (PCS7 / PlantPAx) will be an advantage.
You should be able to travel around the world for 40-90 days per year.
Perhaps you are a commissioning- or service engineer looking for a job with a little less travelling days.
As part of a global organisation, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite. As is respecting and managing relations in a multicultural environment.
