About the Position
As Department Manager R&D - Station Critical Software, you will have responsibility for long term development of our core competences within embedded software and R&D activities within the Motor Vehicle and General Industry Divisions.
Your mission is to strengthen the way we work with embedded SW platforms, and to ensure that we have efficient processes for development of new products with unrivalled customer value.
In this role you will be a member of the R&D Management Team and you are heading a team of 65 highly skilled members including 6 team leaders.
Some of your key responsibilities are:
• To strengthen the product offering and accelerate the speed of product development.
• To implement a long- and short-term R&D strategy for the product lines, in close cooperation with the marketing teams and key customers.
• To secure the competence and organization needed to continue to develop products with unrivalled customer value.
• To be an active member of the R&D management team.
About you
You have long experience of software development and a proven track record of leading advanced development. You also have solid experience from previous leadership roles including the ability to lead through other leaders.
You have the ability to motivate and inspire your coworkers and you create an environment where employees feel excited, energized and committed to contribution. You are result oriented and committed to the task and act a role model for Atlas Copco 's core values.
You have a M.Sc degree or similar and you have excellent communication skills in English, both speaking and writing. Swedish is an advantage.
