Mölnlycke is now looking for an Associate Laboratory Specialist within Chemical Analysis and Synthesis with experience and expertise within analytical chemistry (method development, validation, and analysis with equipment such as GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP/MS, FTIR) and beneficial with knowledge around extractables and leachables testing for medical devices.
In this position you'll be working at our headquarters in Gothenburg and already this Autumn within our new labs at GoCo Health Innovation City!

About the job
In this role you will secure expertise, develop and implement new models and methods within chemical analysis. You'll provide projects, platforms and other customers with laboratory test data, documentation, analysis and statistical input underpinning relevant investigations and decisions.
You play a crucial role in contributing to the development and implementation of new and/or improved materials, products and concepts to meet customer needs.
You'll plan and execute test and verification activities, both for new medical device applications as well as activities related to the existing medical device assortment.

These are the main accountabilities for this position
Plan and execute tests and other related tasks in line with assigned area and
represent area of expertise within projects and activities
Set up, execute and update methods or instruments in the laboratory
Develop, verify, validate and implement new test methods within assigned area
Where applicable, generate Intellectual Property together with the team and our IP department
Identify method development needs and requirements
Plan, coordinate and execute method development, chemical analysis and related laboratory activities
Ensure user requirements for and implementation of laboratory test equipment
Track external state of the art technologies


What you'll need
This role requires that you've got proven knowledge in working with development and validation of test methods and instruments within chemical analysis. Therefor we would like you to have this capabilities, qualifications and experience:
Basic understanding of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to medical device
Basic understanding in Design control
Understanding of customer and end user needs
Proven scientific and technical competence within assigned and adjacent areas
Fluent English written and spoken
Basic knowledge of IP generation
Communication skills
At least 2 years' experience within relevant laboratory work
PhD, Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry or life science or equivalent experience/area
Experience within Medical device / Pharma or relevant field
