As Associate Director you will report to the regional Director and work in a truly global environment. You have an important role to stimulate continued creativity and innovation throughout our organisation by encouraging a culture in which people feel valued and rewarded for their ideas and their contribution to our success.
You will manage efficient delivery in our drug development projects. You will drive changes in ways of working to establish an effective organisation. You will create an environment that enables others to perform at their best and you provide the scientific and technological direction and leadership to achieve this.
The role:In this role you will: . Lead a section of about 45 people.
• Manage and provide technical expertise to one of four sections in Product Development . Share your time between: 2 teams in Mölndal and 1 team each in Mölndal and Södertälje . Ensure delivery to business according to agreed timelines with a quality appropriate to the stage of development
• Introduce new practices that enable individuals to perform with an emphasis on flexibility, efficiency and productivity to create an organisation prepared for future challenges
• Operate confidently as part of a global organisation, with an integrating mindset irrespective of functional, geographic and company background
• Plan and manage the revenue budget for your section.
• Ensure that appropriate standards in the area of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed.
• Review and approve documentation to medical authorities in support of applications for clinical studies and marketing licences
Minimum experience/requirement:
• PhD in a relevant discipline or graduate studies preferably within pharmaceutical sciences in combination with extensive experience from industry.
• Deep knowledge and experience from the drug development process
• Extensive experience in one or more of the disciplines involved in the pharmaceutical and analytical R&D.
• Solid understanding of product development in pharmaceutical development.
• Solid understanding of drug delivery design
• Previous people management experience. You will be recruited primarily for your capability to develop and manage people and teams.
• Ability to inluence and operate at a global level (US/UK/SWE)
