The Club is a member of the International Group of P&I Clubs.
Functions:
Handle underwriting matters for existing accounts. Prepare renewals for relevant covers with members/brokers. Assist in underwriting new business. Register contracts of insurance in the computer system. Controlling and issuing various types of insurance documents. Calculate and debit Premiums, Additional Premiums and Return Premiums. Filing and updating of insurance conditions and clauses. Handling of day to day policy issues as required. Contacts with brokers, members, industry organisations and motgagees.
Skills/Attributes/Requirements:
We believe that you have post-high school education in insurance, business administration, shipping or similar. You have 5-10 years' working experience from underwriting administration, broking or any other relevant insurance role. It is an advantage if you have worked in the marine insurance field. As the position involves frequent contacts with clients, brokers and colleagues in several countries, it is vital that you can express yourself accurately in English, in writing as well as spoken. You need to be in good command of Excel and Outlook. We believe that you are interested in marine insurance and enjoy international contacts. You are systematic and accurate and have good ability to conclude matters. You have a winning way with people and like to co-operate with your colleagues.
