Work duties: The assistant researcher will carry out experiments to address a possible role of the kinase SIK2 in adipocyte autophagy.

This will be done using state of the art techniques for the study of autophagic flux, LC3 interaction and more. Adipocytes, mainly of human origin, in which SIKs have been genetically or pharmacologically modulated will be used. The assistant researcher will also perform a global analysis of which genes are regulated downstream and SIK isoforms in human adipocytes.
