WORKING TASKS
Jönköping International Business School is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Business Administration with focus on Organization, Leadership and Project Management. The holder of the position is part of the discipline of Business Administration at JIBS. The position comprises education activities, including teaching at Bachelor and Master level, research, and service to JIBS. Teaching is performed primarily in English, and distributed over the different parts of the academic year.
Besides teaching, the holders of the positions are expected to apply for externally funded research grants and contribute new knowledge that strengthen JIBS reputation in the focus areas Entrepreneurship, Ownership and Renewal. All JIBS faculty members are expected to contribute to increase JIBS footprint in the broader society.
The following qualifications are mandatory for all applicants:
• Doctoral degree in Business Administration or equivalent academic competence.
• Proven experience of teaching in Business Administration amounting to at least one year full-time teaching.
• Pedagogical education or equivalent, as well as evidence of pedagogical skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to teach and examine courses using English.
The following are considered as merits for the position:
• Academic leadership experience (e.g. Program coordinator, Director of Studies, project management)
• Experience of successful research grant application and/or proven ability to attract external research funding as well as experience of international research collaboration.
• Experience from collaboration and interaction with private, public and voluntary sector organizations.
• Excellence in relevant teaching, including MBA, executive- and/or online education.
