Division
The breast cancer research group currently comprises 3 senior and 5 junior researchers as well as 6 PhD students.

Several large case-control and cohort cancer populations are available with collected biological samples (blood, tumor) and complete information about clinical characteristics and disease progression. The research is performed in an interdisciplinary setting with strong collaboration with clinical departments and other national and international research groups.

Duties
Our research aims at acquiring a comprehensive picture of breast cancer epidemiology. There are a vast number of auxiliary projects ongoing. For this specific position, the applicants will be responsible for the following two areas of our research:

- Adherence of adjuvant hormone therapy in breast cancer patients, including both host (patient) and tumor characteristics that predict therapy discontinuation, therapy response, and therapy complications.
- Breast cancer screening, including prevalence, predictors, and consequences of 1) screening non-attendance; 2) false-negative results; and 3) false-positive results in breast cancer screening.
