The candidate will be expected to follow CERES publication strategy targeting high-rated journals and conferences.
Our expectations of an assistant professor are to be active in the research done within the research environments CERES and EIS. You are also expected to contribute to the development of the education, both on a basic level and on an advanced level, as well as to give courses within the research education. Furthermore, we expect you to take an active part in the continued development of the research environment and that you will put much effort in applying for research funding from various financiers, both in Sweden and abroad.
The research focus will be on how to develop real-time streaming applica¬tions at a high level of abstract¬tion. The successful candidate will work in close cooperation with the PhD students working in a project. The research involves developing an application development framework that enhances programming productivity by using domain specific languages (DSL); enhance¬ing program portability between a mul¬titude of heterogeneous many-core architectures through a powerful architecture description language (ADL) and a novel many-core virtual machine (MCVM) concept; and supporting energy efficiency and real-time aware application development through a power an-notation concept embedded in the used ADL and MCVM descriptions.
Qualification:
To qualify for the position of assistant professor the applicant must have completed a PhD degree in computer engineering or computer science not ear¬lier than 7 years before the time limit for applying (HF 4 ch 12a §). Priority should be given to candidates who hold a doctors degree or corresponding competence. We are looking for a person with experience in designing and implementing domain specific lan¬guages and/or system software for streaming signal processing applications running on parallel embedded architectures.
Assessment criteria:
The assessment criteria for appointment as an assistant professor shall be the degree of the expertise required as a qualification for employment. The assessment criteria regarding scientific skills always apply for the appointment as assistant professor.
