The main services are chemical and microbiological testing of Environmental, Food and Pharmaceutical samples.
Assistant Production Manager (Inorganics) ALS Life Sciences Northern Europe
About the position
As the Assistant Production Manager (Inorganics) your main responsibilities will be to improve and optimize the inorganic testing methods and their processes at the laboratories across the Northern Europe sub-region. You will be responsible for expanding our inorganic testing capabilities where needed. Identifying best practices from ALS laboratories around the world and implementing them in the sub-region.
Furthermore, you will be part of a team leading the work of expanding our laboratory capabilities as well as re-designing and refurbishing our laboratories in the Northern Europe. This will be done in close cooperation with local management.
You will be reporting to the Production Manager of the sub-region. The two of you, together with an Assistant Production Manager (Organics) will be the core of the sub-regions production management team.
The position can be based at any of the ALS locations in the sub-region. The position will require a rather significant amount of travelling. During specific projects you may need to spend most of the working week at another location for a period of time.
Profile
We are looking for an applicant with experience of different inorganic instrumental analysis. A genuine interest of process optimization and great data management skills is believed to be important to be successful in this role. The role also expects you to be good at building relationships with stakeholders on various levels.
You are believed to have about 3 years of work experience with inorganic instrumental analysis, with a relevant chemical university degree. Significantly longer work experience can compensate for lack of relevant university degree.
