www.engelska.se We are now hiring an Assistant Principal - Quality & Processes to work within the School Leadership Team at IES Kista to develop outstanding working practices across all aspects of our school. This is a new role which has been created to complement our existing leadership structure.
Role Description
Working closely with the Principal and the other Assistant Principals, the Assistant Principal - Quality & Processes will work to develop clear and coherent systematic development and working cycles, supported by well formed and regularly updated school policies and procedural documents. In addition, in conjunction with the Principal, they will support the development and implementation of high quality and relevant systematic quality work. Further, the AP - Quality & Processes will support all colleagues in the Senior Leadership Team to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including students, staff, and parents. This will include overseeing a range of different communication platforms, including SchoolSoft, the school website, IES Connect, and relevant social media accounts. Due to the holistic nature of this role, the AP - Quality & Processes will, where relevant, attend meetings relating to both Academic and Pastoral AP positions, internally as well as at Head Office.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
• Driving the systematic quality work of the school
• Building an engaging school culture based on our values of clarity, consistency, and community, as well as general professionalism and the IES ethos
• Proactively creating, reviewing, and updating school policies and procedures
• Following up on existing procedures to help foster a culture of accountability
• Managing admin staff, including the library, IT, and maintenance teams
• Leading Learning Walks and other staff observation/development processes
• Organising continuing professional development opportunities for staff/students
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with external agencies/partners
• Administrating and creating content for the website, IES Connect, and social media
• Managing whole school information collection tasks such as creating annual spreadsheets and intake packs, collecting consent, and assigning lockers/Houses
• Assisting in creating schedules and class groups on Skola24 and/or SchoolSoft
• Acting as the primary SchoolSoft and ProRenata administrator of the school
• Planning whole school events such as school photos, assemblies, and graduation
• Ensuring that key processes are followed during activities days and field trips
• Other tasks as assigned by the Principal
About IES Kista
Internationella Engelska Skolan Kista is a school for grades 4-9 with 896 students and over 100 staff. The school opened in 2015 and has since expanded to become the largest grundskola in the Rinkeby-Kista area of northern Stockholm. We are proud of our student cohort, where over 50 different mother tongue languages are represented, and this diversity is subsequently reflected in our staff body. We conduct up to 50% of our teaching in English, following the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr 22).
