• You will be handling day-to-day business, on-line as well as physically tending the store.
• Dealing with direct purchases from Asian suppliers
• Dealing directly with end-customers in our physical premises
• Prepared to travel to Asia at least 2 times pr year sourcing for new suppliers and goods.
• Securing long term business relations and contracts with our strategic suppliers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (including but not limited to):
• At least 5-10 years of international experience in a related field.
• Willingness to re-locate, in case of residence outside of or Sweden or Helsingborg.
• It will be an advantage to know some Swedish.
• Chinese (Mandarin) as mothertounge is a necessity.
• Able to conduct business in fluent English.
• In depth knowledge of Asian foods and customs.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (including but not limited to):
• Involved in the business of import/export of food and food related accessories.
• Established network of potential suppliers in China
• Able to grow into a full partnership in our Scandinavian business.
• Japanese and/or Korean language abilities will be considered a definite asset.
THE COMPANY/THE BUSINESS
Asian-Pacific Food is a newly formed company with a fresh and authentic take on North-East Asian food specialities as well as related kitchen utensils. This includes a range of decorative items (e.g. ceramic plates, pots, wooden objects) as well. All are truly authentic, and often handmade. At start we will concentrate on two sales channels. A physical, ideally and centrally situated store in Helsingborg as well as a web-store in order to cater for a larger market. The physical shop and its location is already secured - you will contribute to the creation of the on-line store.
Varaktighet, arbetstid
Salary will partly be based on achievements towards relevant KPI 's. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take on a role as partner/part owner in the near future.
