Art Team Leader - Content Factory, Group Communication
What if you could inspire to make everyday life just a little bit better for people all around the world?
The answer is simple: You can. This is what motivates us at IKEA. We are constantly searching to find new ways to inspire people with ideas and solutions that let them live the life they want.
If you enjoy taking personal initiative and exceeding goals and if you are motivated to work in an agile way, with a desire to learn new things and do not fear navigating in the unknown? Then keep reading, this might be the perfect role for you.
We are searching for an Art Team Leader to join the Content Factory. If you are the right person for the job, you will become part of the Creative Studio, a diverse team of around 35 passionate doers, idea makers, and creative thinkers from around the globe. A team that has the creative muscles and the internal backing to build new, wild, unexpected, and beautiful solutions. Always with the intention to be relevant and to find answers to everyday problems in people's lives, for society, and the planet.

WHO YOU ARE
You are an experienced Art Director and have the skills to support and coach a team of Art Directors and Graphic Designers. But it is equally important that you are a hands-on kind of person who loves to bring your ideas to life and knows how to collaborate. If this sounds like you, we should definitely talk. And hopefully, you could become part of this bunch of people-centred creatives, who like to make great stuff but leave our egos at the door.
Further, what you need:
• Experience in leading creative teams
• Proven advanced training in creative development within communication, marketing, design and/or equivalent
• 5+ years of agency experience as an Art Director for global clients
• Demonstrable art direction skills with a strong portfolio
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA brand, culture, and values

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
In this role, you will work as an Art Director but you will also lead a team of Art Directors and Graphic Designers. This means that you should feel confident with managerial tasks like encouraging development, handling succession, and securing a high-performing team. You will work in close collaboration with other team leaders within the Content Factory, as well as with other stakeholders within the organization, all to secure consistency in deliveries and ways of working.
As an Art Director, you will lead and develop best practices and keep track of current global trends that will drive our business priorities and keep IKEA at the forefront. A job in the Content Factory means working both independently and interdependently with creative networks and cross-functions. Here you will be part of a brilliant and friendly team who knows how to create solutions that represent the IKEA brand and our values. Solutions that will be great examples of IKEA tone of voice.
Some of your main responsibilities also include:
• Support that the team delivers high-level quality campaigns and assets.
• Explore possibilities/limitations to reach relevant target audiences in all media platforms (Web, Mobile, Print, Film, Social Media, Store, Exhibition & events etc.)
• Develop and execute ideas to be visualized through both external and internal communications
• Understand the importance of details and trends, but also know how to handle different stakeholders and build bridges between the expectation and the solution.
• Create and maintain relationships with external consultants, managing the opportunities for collaboration and streamlining their use to optimize existing resources.
• Be the creative lead on big shoots and productions
• Analyse the impact of created content, follow up on results, and transform insights into creative ideas and opportunities for the IKEA brand.
• Actively work in collaboration with team members, and creatives within other functions as well as with other IKEA businesses, to create synergies and facilitate the achievement of common goals.
This role is a permanent position and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
