Wallenius Water combines the two powerful technologies AOT and MBBR (Moving Bed Bioreactor) in our RAS system. We have a long history of sourcing Titanium in China for the AOT reactors and through those activities, we have formed strong relationships with people within the Chinese government and academics, success factor in order to make business in China.
In July this year, we delivered our first RAS system to a Turbot/Tongue Sole fish farmer in the area of Tianjin in China. The system is now in full operation with good results. We also have two new orders for similar systems to be delivered in October this year.
We have a need to strengthen our competence within the area of Aquaculture, specifically with focus on RAS in connection with fish breeding. We also need to increase our presence in China for the implementation of our present and future projects.
Overall description of the job:
• The overall objective with this role is to design and quality-assure the RAS systems sold by Wallenius Water AB. This will involve both design work done in the office in the initial project phase, but also to follow up the projects on-site during construction and startup.
• Activities: o Designing RAS systems and fish plants for new projects with support from our team consisting of technical project leader, constructor, process engineer and steering and control engineer. o Supervise the implementation of our projects on site in China to secure safe startup along with education of the end customer. o Reporting to the VP of RAS and has close co-operation with the RAS project team. o Follow-up and problem-solving at existing installations (concerning design issues) o Meetings and site visits with new customers to collect information as a base for new offers. o Assist in building up the Chinese organization in our daughter company Wallenius Water Tianjin.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Tailor-make the RAS system/aquaculture system for each customer.
• Ensuring a well functioning system according to customer requirements.
• Drive system improvements to increase productivity and decrease operational costs in order to ensure system competitiveness.
• Ensure choice of equipment with high performance but still being sensitive to costs.
• Convincing customers of our ability and competence.
• Assisting and co-operating with the RAS team to make the best possible delivery to the customer.
• Lead the startup and customer takeover of our systems.
