Metso is now looking for a new associate to join its Application and Quotation support team in Sala, Sweden.
As an Application and product support engineer you will be an important part of the Global Pump Support team at Metso Sala. The support group is a highly skilled team of 11 people of different nationalities. The group's main task is to support the numerous sales offices and direct customers across a range of countries globally where Metso and its customers are located. As an application engineer you will assist a specific geographical region within Metso's sales organization (this position focuses on Russia and certain Eastern European markets) with technical and application support, mostly handled via email and Skype and occasionally through travel. You will build good relationships with internal and external customers through meetings, presentations, trainings and when representing Metso in your work. You will also be responsible for supporting the pricing and costing decisions for the cases being worked on.
Requirements
We require that you have a bachelor's degree within the technical area, preferably Mining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a background in rotating equipment.
Having good knowledge about centrifugal slurry pumps is seen as a strength
You are a service oriented person with great drive and commitment, and a sense of detail and order
In order to fit in the role, you have a great interest in technology as you see problem solving as something fun and fulfilling
You like to work within a team, and you have the ability to remain calm during stressful situations where the workload can be high
Good communication skills in Russian and English are a must, additional language skills are considered an advantage
Good computer skills in Microsoft Office and general adaptability to new tools is a requirement
Prior experience in a customer service role or support function role is a plus
