BergmanLabora has over 100 years of experience of laboratory operations. One of the major strategic areas is microscopy being the exclusive supplier of Nikon Instrument in Sweden. It is through this long-standing and close relationship with Nikon that we are now looking to expand our team in the high-end advanced light microscopy area.

The person we are looking for will work 50% of their time within our existing team of microscopy specialists supporting existing advanced light microscopy users across Sweden. The role includes supporting the sales team on advanced projects where deep biological application knowledge is needed. This may include helping demonstrate systems primarily, but not exclusively on the west coast and southern area of Sweden. The role will also include actively seeking out new projects and driving the full sales cycle from initial contact to installation, with support from the existing team and report to the sales manager located in Stockholm. The other 50% of the role will be directly coupled to supporting and developing the new advanced light microscopy platform at LBIC (Lund University Bioimaging Center) and bring a complementary expertise in advanced light microscopy. Together, the LBIC team will support multiple research Projects of broad biomedical scope at Lund University. The advanced light microscopy applications specialist will work in close contact with the EM manager within their existing team. Both roles will require travel to international seminars, trainings and sales meetings both in Sweden and Europe. Some of the tasks will include: - Give introduction sessions for new users on the systems (Confocal, TIRF, STORM) - Support users and sales team with technical aspects / quantification of advanced light microscopy techniques (TIRF, confocal imaging, super-resolution imaging (STORM, etc), live cell applications, deep tissue imaging, and microscopy automation). - Actively drive projects to sales - Undertake daily maintenance of the microscope systems at LBIC. - Undertake / report regular performance tests of the microscope systems at LBIC - Organize international workshops on advanced microscopy topics - Organize advanced microscopy training courses. - Develop the administration and location of the advanced light microscopy platform at LBIC.

Qualifications: - PhD degree in biological or biophysical sciences with proficient knowledge of Bio-Imaging, physics, instrumentation, microscopy and image analysis. - Ability to provide microscopy support for multiple research projects of broad biomedical background. - Documented track record in advanced light microscopy techniques. - Solid understanding of biological image analysis software Tools for multi-dimensional datasets. - Project management skills - Communication skills, fluent in English and preferably Swedish language - Service-minded and team-player
