What's in it for you?
The Design, CAE & Advanced Visualisation Product team is responsible for supporting Research & Development with the IT environment for technical calculations and Designs rendering. Its supporting the Design and R&D organization with supplying and maintaining access to engineering tools, managing licenses, supporting installation and configuration of software and analyzing user needs, providing support for Linux and Windows-based engineering software running in client- and Linux- cluster environment and managing the support interface with respective SW and HW vendors.
What you'll do
In this role you will be responsible for several applications within the CAE-area. The main responsibility is to ensure that the technical solutions developed within an application or application suite are technically sustainable and consistent with both VCC application strategy and vendor application strategy. You will also work pm infrastructure, application and information related solutions from an application point of view.
* Procurement and Installation of new cluster for CAE and Design from an application point of view.
* Maintenance of CAE applications and environment.
* Participate in projects including development, integration of software, implementation, and support.
* Design and development of Python based software for automation and datastreams internally for IT and for different groups within R&D.
* Requirement specification for Purchase or development of such software.
* Support, Maintenance and operation of applications, configuration and installation of computer environments for these applications, on-premise or in cloud environments.
* Design and administration of maintenance agreements to support user requirements.
* Follow up of deliveries with vendors, suppliers and end users.
Do you fit the profile?
Are you self-driven and flexible? In this team you will be given a lot of freedom and responsibility to solve problems within your area of responsibility. Are you highly organized and work in an orderly and structured way? Do you have previous experience from the automotive industry and are looking for the next step in your career?
* Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent
* Experience of CAE systems in the automotive industry in general and Vehicle Dynamics in particular.
* Experience in Linux and/or Windows environment
* Good scripting skills
* Fluent in English
* Experience of LSF or other batch queue systems is a bonus
* Adams application is considered a bonus
