By working closely with automotive engineers and managers you will help them advance their ability to improve their development of automotive systems.
As a "Automotive Application Engineer" you will manage the technical aspects of driving increased adoption of MATLAB and Simulink products across the different divisions and segments of our automotive customers.
You will collaborate with the sales organization, technical marketing, development and other teams at MathWorks to coordinate the technical engagements, demonstrate technical capabilities and engage in strategic development workflow discussions and projects.
The key to your success will be leveraging your industry experience and technical expertise to give sound recommendations on how solutions from MathWorks can improve the results of the customers' product development processes.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Be the technical point of contact for the automotive accounts
• Drive the adoption of MathWorks technology through product demonstrations and technical project engagements
• Establish technical cooperation between customers and MathWorks.
• Partner with the account manager in planning and executing of the account strategies.
Qualifications required:
• A bachelor's degree and some years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or a PhD degree) is required.
• Professional work experience in the automotive industry.
• Working knowledge of automotive development processes.
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Design as a methodology.
• Experience working with sales or marketing organization is a plus.
• Highly motivated towards working directly with customers, showing strong business acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound presentation skills.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Fluent in Swedish is a plus.
• Working experience with MathWorks' products (MATLAB, Simulink) is a plus.
