JOB DESCRIPTION
As Application Engineer at Ascatron you will be part of a devoted team developing next generation power semiconductors.
• Investigate target customer demands.
• Setup detailed device specifications with data sheet and procedure for device qualification.
• Engage and manage suppliers for outsourcing of device testing.
• Electrical measurements - High voltage (1-10 kV), high current (1-100 A), low leakage (nA) and high temp (250°C).
• Device application modelling and system performance demonstration.
• Performance analysis in cooperation with device development team.
• Documentation, progress reporting and presentations for internal and external use.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a good understanding of power electronic circuits and devices. You have a strong ability to present and conclude your work, as well as plan your work according to deadlines.
We are looking for you who have:
• Master degree in electrical engineering or engineering physics.
• Knowledge in power electronic semiconductors and circuits.
• Experience in power device testing and qualification.
It will be considered an additional qualification if you have experience from semiconductor production.

To make the most efficient and reliable SiC power devices is Ascatron using a unique material technology enabling us to reduce the resistance in the device. Ascatron started in 2011 as a spin-off from the research institute Acreo, and has 10 employees in Sweden.
