The function holder is contributing to the development and ensure implementation of the Energy Industry Cluster strategy, managing Application Development & Technology Suport (AD&TS) resources available.
The AD&TS Manager is a active contributor and member of the Energy Leadership team as well as leading a team of senior technical experts. The function holder will be based at Borealis Innovation Centre in Stenungsund but leading an internation team hence will also need to frequently travel to other Borealis locations.
Contribution:
• Detailing out the Energy strategy into AD&TS strategy, set objectives and KPIs, prioritise activities and resources.
• Manage application development within Energy
• Deliver technical expertise to customers and the connected value chain to find solutions for internal and external demands
• Support the innovation process from market needs identification and idea generation to validating technical feasibility, positioning of the innovation value to the market
• Act as a trusted advisor for the AD&TS organisation by being inspiring and act as a technical challenger
• Translation of market & technology trends into product solutions and business opportunities
• Management of strategic technical customer activities, defining market requirements in innovation projects and claims investigations
• Secure and grow business of high financial value
• Manage the internal worldwide AD&TS network
• Manage the contacts between product management, Innotech and production, the winning triangle.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Academic technical degree (chemistry or similar enhanced with commercial/marketing education) or equivalent
• 10+ years relevant working experience, 3+ y ears experience of leading technical teams with the ability to lead an international team
• Mastery of English at business level
• Excellent understanding of technical factors i.e. product, compound production, testing and cable technology in the relevant area
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
