Metso is now looking for 2 new associates, 1 position is permanent and 1 position is temporary for maternity leave.
As an Application and product support engineer you will be an important part of the global Pump Support team at Metso Sala. The support group consists of a technically highly skilled team of 11 people of different nationalities. The group's main task is to support these numerous countries in the world where Metso and its customers are located. As an application engineer you will assist Metso's sales organization with technical support and application support that is mostly handled via email. You will also calculate prices for pumps.
As application engineer you will handle the technical support questions within a specific geographical area and to support other colleagues when needed.
You build good relationships with customers by including travel, meetings, presentations, training and you represent Metso in your work.
Qualifications
We strongly see that you have a bachelors degree within technical area, it is a merit to have knowledge in centrifugal pumps. You are a service oriented person with great drive and commitment and sense of details and order. In order to fit in the role, you have a great interest in technology as you see problem solving as something fun and fulfilling. You also like to work when you work with a team and you have the ability to remain calm during stressful situations where the workload can be high. Good communication skills in English and Swedish is required, if you have additional language skills it is advantage, such as French or Spanish. We see that you have good computer skills. Suitable background is previous experience in customer service via phone or that you have worked in some form of support function earlier.
