We currently have the following job opening;
Director Operational Development
This role is within the business function Powertrain Engineering and more specifically within the Operational Management unit. Powertrain Engineering is developing Powertrain technology for the brands within Geely Group. The Operational Management unit is responsible for managing the Powertrain Engineering Project Portfolio and budget. We also cover Product Maintenance, Operational Development including Processes & Tools, Project Management, and Releases etc.
In this role you will have the responsibility of the Powertrain Engineering processes, tools and methods. You will be responsible for defining the Powertrain Engineering needs for Processes & Tools and also be the Powertrain Engineering interface to the central Operational Development organization within CEVT. Further, you will secure the project deliveries to meet the Powertrain Engineering Process & Tools requirements.
As this is a newly established role you will have the opportunity to form and contribute to the content and the way of working. You will build and manage a small team, securing and developing critical competence within the area. You will report to the Vice President, Operational Management.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Define, develop and prioritize Powertrain Engineering Processes & Tools requirements
- Be the Powertrain Engineering representative in CEVT Operational Development projects.
- Secure critical Processes & Tools competencies for Powertrain Engineering.
- Be The Powertrain Engineering interface to CEVT Operational Development functions.
- Define and anchor Powertrain Engineering strategies for Operational Development.
- Be a key user and handle access rights for a number of systems used within Powertrain Engineering.
- Develop the Powertrain Engineering cooperation with other function areas regarding Operational Development.
Profile and Background
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience from leadership positions in the automotive industry or other technology industry.
- Experience from working with Processes & Tools
- Ability to structure, summarize and present cases in an informative and correct way.
- Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach direct reports
- Experience from working in an international environment.
- Ability to cooperate and navigate in a complex organization.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
